What We're Up To!

The Summer has been busy for us. We have had two car washes for fundraisers and have sold candy . We performed at the Lions Fun Day on Saturday June 26th and had a booth set up there for face painting, balloon animals, etc. We competed in NEW YORK CITY at the Roosevelt hotel in the "NATIONAL TALENT AMERICA" competition.  Our trip was very successful!  We were able to do lots of sightseeing, appear on the TODAY SHOW on Saturday July 10th and brought 4 OVERALL awards and 2 special awards. (SEE Our AWARDS page). We competed against all kinds of Talent. We were the only CLOGGERS there and we respresented South Carolina well. Be sure to stay posted as we will have pictures soon.

Other things that we have done throughout this season:

We competed at Talent America on May 8th. It was a very successful day and we brought home numerous awards!(See our awards page for a listing) We qualified to go to New York City in July where we will compete in the finals for Talent America. Our annual RECITAL that was held on Sunday May 23rd at 3:00 at Cola High was a success. We are proud of our dancers and their performances.

We were excited to participate in the South Carolina Clogging Championship in Moncks Corner, SC on March 20th. Our dancers participated in workshops throughout the day on Saturday. Robin and April taught the Palmetto's Finest team routine for the day so that the team could perform it on Saturday afternoon. Two of our dancers from  Southern Connection Energy were nominated on the Palmetto's Finest's team for 2004. They are Kelly Ragan and Christa Branham. We brought home many awards for the competition (See our AWARDS page).                                                                                                                                                                              Also the Southern Connection Cloggers were busy during the Christmas season by participating in the Carillon Christmas Parade on Dec. 6th and the Cayce Light Parade. They built a float that featured a Toy Store. The dancers were dressed up as toys and performed down the street and then performed at the State house on WIS TV during the Carillon parade.
